On calling 999 to report a suspected heart attack the East of England Ambulance Service will almost certainly prompt you to send for the AED if possible and give you the 4 digit code to access the secure AED cabinet.  The Manger staff also hold the code of course.

The AED (Zoll AED 3) is extremely easy to use and once switched on will provide simple and clear audio instructions and visual cues; the smart AED (NOT the operator) assesses the patient and initiates any necessary shock.
